Cancer research fundraising

Today is the start of the spring and so is our (Persian) new year; I hope it brings health and happiness to the world.
Last year about this time, my beloved uncle was diagnosed with liver cancer. Up until then, he was a healthy middle-aged man without any history of illness. Within a month we lost him before anything could be done. We were left in shock and sorrow. Especially for me, being so far away, unable to do anything in the middle of a pandemic, and just watch him leave us so unexpectedly was extremely painful...
Now at the beginning of a new year and getting close to my birthday (in about two weeks) and his commemoration, those days are all I can think of... So, I thought of starting a fundraiser for cancer research. This is what would truly make me happy on my birthday this year, so instead of getting me a gift, I would want to invite you all to donate to cancer research; may science sheds light on the life of those battling cancer all around the globe...
